Check out some of the latest at KPA:

1. Aga Khan Hospital has taken up the highly important project of Emergency Department Expansion. KPA is providing comprehensive Electrical Engineering services. A project of architects Ebrahim and Chaudhry, the Project is in a preliminary planning and design phase.

2. KPA has been appointed as Consultants on KESC's project of Orangi Town Distribution Network Rehabilitation using Aerial Bundled Cables (which is a first in KESC Distribution System).

3. KPA is currently in its design phase of 11/0.4kV Network for a 3000 acre Industrial Estate in Gwadar. This is a project of Consultants Group with whom KPA is associated as Electrical Consultants.  

4. Zephyr Power's 50MW Wind Farm Project at Gharo is in advanced Planning stages. As Consultants on this flag-runner project, KPA is providing comprehensive Electrical Engineering services.

5. Gul Ahmed Textiles (Pvt.) Ltd. One 10MW Gas Turbine, 12 Gas Generators. Linkup and augmentation required. High reliability, miniscule deadline. Talk about KPA's territory. GTM's remodeled system is nearing completion. 

6. Unicol (Pvt.) Ltd., a distillery plant being setup by The Ghulam Faruque Group is in design stage. Electrical Distribution Panels have already been tendered out. KPA is providing comprehensive services.

7. KPA is Electrical Consultants on Guar Gum Chemical Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. Working in coordination with project architects Shahab Ghani & Associates, the project is moving swiftly, with major Electrical Systems already designed.

8. As Consultants on Caltex's Keamari Terminal Complete Electrical System Augmentation project, KPA is moving fast. Hazardous area classification and Distribution Network remodeling are complete. Using 3-dimentional lighting design techniques, KPA have also finalized the floodlighting system of the Terminal.

9. From the beginning of 2006, KPA has started work on an in-house software development project named KPAuto. This project aims for the automation of all feasible activities at KPA-technical and managerial. KPAuto consists of numerous Phases each of which will be dedicated to software development in order to automate a particular set of activities carried out at KPA.

Phase 1 of KPAuto aims for the development of "JIEDA" (Joint Interface for Electrical Design Applications). Among the many applications planned, RSD (Rapid Schematic Developer) stands completed. This program is capable of reading Design Worksheets in .xls format and drawing corresponding schematics on AutoCAD. The task of drawing complex single line diagrams, now with RSD, is only a matter of seconds. For more information about these software, write to mustafa@kpa.com.pk
